Houses for artists

This project was developed by Mauro Soro as a student from Università degli Studi di Sassari - Architettura ad Alghero and was submited to the WAS awards 2017 under the Housing category.

The project proposes some houses in a side buildings of a recovered industrial complex to host artists for the nearby museum’s temporary exhibitions and workshops.

Houses are designed on three levels: the ground level hosts the spaces more shared with out coming persons, like the living area, dining area, kitchen, the first upper space is like floating on the previous one and on the exterior context, and it is dedicated to the atelier area for the artist. The last one, with more privacy is for the bed and relax area. The three spaces are one to the each other fluid and continuous, separated only by the route that you made to reach them.
