Inclusive Design for Street vendors

This project was developed by as a student from Vidyavardhan's IDEA and was submited to the WAS awards 2017 under the Facilities category.

I aim to explore the challenges of managing street vending in contemporary India and explores inclusive urban design can generate change in use of space. My argue to create a market to serve all urban inhabitants to access the benefits of fresh goods . We have to create a mature sensibility towards vendors . Problem of society cannot be solved by simply discarding them  and totally be dependent on supermarket .

Getting fascinated by the quality of space in Jama Masjid (Delhi) , filtered light and appropriate ventilation provided by the series of colonnades . The intermediate space around the court yard though the scale of Jama Masjid was quite different by controlling the scale of court and  intermediate space i tried to incorporate in my design .
