Invigorating the Trails of Al-Hamam – Space for Production (An Inclusive Urban Public Node)

This project was developed by Omar Nabulsi as a student from German Jordanian University and was submited to the WAS awards 2017 under the Facilities category.

The Project is located within Al-Hamam Street in the City of Al-Salt in Jordan, it tackles notions of the city’s past and how to introduce re-narrations alongside new inclusive activities.

The project features a School for Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts; this school operates a fully serviced restaurant, a heritage guest house and a public interpretation center.

The interventions thought of are to highlight openings and access points for permeability, as well as occupy the left over spaces within the street.

Al-Hamam Street would become enriched (invigorated) through this process.
