SINGLE FAMILY HOME + MUSICIAN STUDIO _ Écija, Spain

This project was developed by galera rodriguez andres as a student from escuela técnica superior de arquitectura de Sevilla and was submited to the WAS awards 2017 under the Housing category.

A single family home is proposed for a couple and their child, one of the parents is an artist, in this case a musician, who needs a space for his activity. The site previously had a roof of wood and shingles almost demolished, and a thick wall of stone and lime, was a continuous cloth, except the hollow of a garage. The project aims to maintain that blind cloth and create an interior space surrounding the patio. Two entrances appear, one mainly for housing and the other larger, where it was located in original space, for the study area and music auditorium. This entry occurs below the tier of said auditorium. The roof is another tier of the same geometry but with less slope. Used as part of the living room and terrace viewpoint of the house, witnessing the views of the albarrana tower on one side and the dome and tower of the church of Santa Cruz on the other
