startups incubators

This project was developed by Anna Christofi as a student from Frederick University and was submited to the WAS awards 2017 under the Facilities category.

The building  is located in the village of Pera Oreinis in Nicosia. The land plot is surrounded by a church on the northern side of the plot, a cultural centre and the main centre square of the village.

There are many trees on the piece and that is the reason the shape of the building is created. Similarly to trees, which have roots, thus my building is a root from whom there are small roots protruding from it. Hence, from the collective space which is the largest room of the building is connected and enlarged to the additional rooms of the building, such as the offices, the entrance, etc.

The building, which was designed to be built on the land plot, is a community incubator of new entrepreneurship.

The premises in which would be included in the building is an entrance, a collective space of offices, and a venue for several events. Additionally, there would be a management office, 2 meeting rooms, 2 offices and a library. Also, there would be hygienic rooms, a kitchen and warehouses. Besides, there would be several temporary accommodations units where some workers would be hosted.
