In recent years, the exponential growth of the urban spot in the major cities of the world has become evident, in a segregated way, giving rise to new problems that must be taken care of, the most notorious being the excessive increase of the population together with the need for an efficient means of public transportation and lack of physical space for the demand of cars. Having said that, it is evident the inexcusable responsibility that designers must take into consideration when designing CITY. Aiming at a vertical city, avoiding individual houses, finding the right balance in the compactness that allows to liberate the urban landscape, integrating the whole of the city in its natural environment, creating public spaces, and encouraging local agriculture and green areas.
It has been projected a building where the newly exposed is reflected, starting from the preparation of different models as a method of assistance and trigger of ideas both morphological and spatial as structural, conforming to certain norms and protocols imposed from the beginning.
After a process of investigation, survey of the surrounding environment and the plot in question, located in the city of Rosario. It has been considered the construction of a tower of housing of 22 levels above the level of the sidewalk and a level under it, reaching a height of approximately 66 meters.
The tower rests on a dry square of generous dimensions, which is embraced by gastronomic places that stick to the medianero axes. resolving the encounter with the boundary lands, turning his back on them.
This dry square has been proposed with the intention of projecting for the city and not exclusively for the private owner; generating public space, where the owners can use the rent of the premises of ground floor to pay part of the central expenses, while giving the city this space.
At each level there are four apartments with a capacity of two people, kitchen, dining room, living room and bedroom with en suite bathroom and a balcony that accompany the turn of the tower, with the visuals towards all the orientations of the city producing an effect of shadows and natural light income through the enclosure.
The tower is supported thanks to the structural strategy devised, which consists of a central core of reinforced concrete partitions, where the vertical circulation of lifts and stairs is located, on this structure rest ribbed slabs alleviated with their respective edge beams; the toilets and kitchen are attached to the core to facilitate its discharge, generating the structure and infrastructure work together efficiently.
In conclusion, creating a compact and vertical city with large shared spaces, maintaining a fair harmony with the environment.
